SGC OPs is the team chat and operations app that SGC and the organisations it works with use to run their work. This page says plainly what the app collects, where it goes, who can see it, how long it is kept and how to have it removed.
SGC Technology LLC (“SGC”) operates SGC OPs — the app, the chat servers and the sign-in service — and is responsible for the data described on this page.
SGC OPs is not a public sign-up service. Accounts exist by invitation: an organisation that works with SGC invites you, and that organisation’s administrators decide which teams and channels you can see.
| What | Where it comes from | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Your name, email address and username | Your invitation, and SGC’s own sign-in service | To sign you in and show others who you are |
| A profile picture, if you add one | You | Shown next to your messages |
| Messages, files, photos and videos you post, and your reactions | You | The purpose of the app: working with your team |
| The teams and channels you belong to | Your administrators, and channels you join | To show you the conversations you are part of |
| A push-notification token for your device | Your device, when you allow notifications | To deliver notifications to that device |
Your account, messages and files are stored on servers SGC runs itself, in the United States (Texas). SGC OPs is not hosted on a third-party chat service.
AI assistants in SGC OPs run on computers SGC operates. When you message an assistant, your message is processed there and is not sent to an outside AI company.
A small number of companies carry parts of SGC OPs’ traffic. None of them may use it for their own purposes.
When someone posts a link to an image on another website, SGC’s server fetches the image and passes it on to your device, so that website does not see your device’s address.
Nothing you post is public, searchable on the internet, or visible to other organisations unless someone deliberately shares it with them.
Messages and files are kept until the person who posted them, or an administrator, deletes them. Nothing expires automatically.
You can edit or delete your own messages at any time in the app.
You can delete your account in the app: Settings → Advanced → Delete account, then type DELETE to confirm. Deletion takes effect at once and cannot be undone. It removes your name, username, email address, profile picture, settings, drafts and sign-in sessions from SGC OPs, and the app forgets this account’s data on your device. The messages and files you posted in shared channels stay, shown as from “Deleted user”, so the conversations other people rely on stay intact. Other people’s messages that mention you are theirs and are not changed.
Your SGC sign-in itself is managed by your organisation’s administrator. To have it removed as well, ask them, or write to admin@sgc.ai.
To ask for a copy of what is held about you, a correction, or a deletion:
SGC OPs is a workplace tool. Accounts are created for staff and partners of the organisations that use it, and the app is not directed at children.
If what SGC OPs collects or who handles it changes, this page changes first, and the date at the top changes with it.
